Using the route maps

We use the "Ride With GPS" website to display our route maps and turn-by-turn directions (Cue Sheet). Anyone can use this website to navigate our routes - there is no fee and it doesn't require any type of registration, user account or special equipment. However, there are some benefits from signing up for either the free or the fee-based accounts - regular users who want to do things like track their biking activity or create their own routes may wish to do this.

Note: there is a "mobile app" available for cell phones - strongly advised when using this system on a phone. This system is significantly easier to use on a desktop - especiall for learning - but the app does an excellent job considering the small screen size of phones.

As this is a very feature rich website, there is a small learning curve to get the most benefit - here are some highlights:

Typical Map

Just like a Google Map you can drill down and move around.

Start and Finish Symbols

Look for these symbols to find the start of the route

Cue Sheets

Cue sheets (like cues for play actors) provide turn-by-turn navigation assistance. They can be printed, folded and easily carried on your bike.

Starting Locations

This map shows an overview of the relative locations of the various starting points for the routes. Of course, the Ride With GPS maps (like a Google Map) can be zoomed out to help locate the starting point of a particular route.

The following table lists parks, preserves and towns visited by our routes. Check out the websites to learn more about these places and where they are located.
